About Tucci
Brooklyn

How would you describe your music style, in non-technical terms?

Deep House and Nu-Disco with a touch of Techno.

How and why did you decide to become a DJ?

I started DJing on college radio when i was 18 because I wanted to share the best music I could find with other people. Now it's become an outlet for me, a way of expressing myself and blowing off steam.

Tell us a bit about your fans.

It's mostly just my friends who come out when I play, and I really enjoy playing to people who have never heard me before.

What are your top 3 influences? Doesn't have to musical.

Lee Foss has been one of my favorite for years, he has an ear for great music and his mixing is pretty flawless.

Seth Troxler cause you can tell he truly loves it and is a real house and techno lifer.

The whole Wolf + Lamb/Marcy Hotel/Crew Love thing has been a big influence, doesn't get much cooler than them in general.

Any guilty pleasure(s)?

Does Phish count?

All-time favorite track(s)?

It would have to be either "White Rose" by Solomun or Bottin's "No Static," both are so musical, they're more song than track.

What is your favorite festival, why?

Camp Bisco is good for the sheer variety they've had over the years, I've seen everyone there from James Murphy to Snoop Dogg!
