Effortlessly flowing btwn genres. Good vibes only.
How would you describe your music style, in non-technical terms?
A beautiful mixture Electronic & Hip-Hop music, which incorporates a myriad of genres from House to Trap. Always finding the groove which connects each vibe.
How and why did you decide to become a DJ?
It was a natural progression for my constant love of all types of music. I'm also a composer/producer, and performer/electronic artist.
Tell us a bit about your fans.
Most of them are like me, they love all types of music, but are extremely picky. Age range 20-36, men & women, who gravitate to major metropolitan areas (or dream to). They're into fashion and art, and are generally forward thinking out-of-the box individuals.
What are your top 3 influences? Doesn't have to musical.
Timbaland (for musical style + innovation), Will Smith (for work ethic + motivation), Kanye West (love him or hate him, he's a catalyst for self expression + change)
Any guilty pleasure(s)?
Hmm.. Unique accessories, I guess.
All-time favorite track(s)?
Sorry, but this is the hardest fkn question…
For now, I'll say "2U 4U" by Slum Village.
What is your favorite festival, why?
So far, it's been NXNE in Toronto. It was my first time in Canada, I got to do one of my first performances of my original music, and I got to see Danny Brown & Sleigh Bells on the same stage.
Funniest/weirdest thing that ever happened during a gig?
Recently during an after-hours party in Hollywood, this drunk chick decided that right next to the DJ booth was the perfect place loose her lunch.. And that wasn't even the craziest thing to happen that night.
What advice do you have for someone looking to book a DJ? Other than "book me!" ;)
Communication is key. If you're looking for something specific, I'm happy and willing to work with you. But, it's also important to understand that the DJ is not Pandora radio, and you have to give some leeway for their skillful curation. Most importantly, we're all here to have fun, so if your DJ has a warm inviting personality, it goes a long way to make things pleasant for everyone!
